Monita spends her time designing beautiful homes for people across the world, often including Matki products in her creations. She transforms rooms to create spaces for the whole family to enjoy, and never compromises on style.

My inspiration

One of my favourite parts of my job is meeting so many different people in many different homes, each with their own story. My inspiration comes from the clients themselves: it’s all about real people living real lives. That’s why I adapt to people’s own individual needs and love towards colours, materials and styles. When I see the delight on their faces, I know I’ve created something that suits them perfectly.

My designs

My ideas can come from every aspect of life – from being amongst nature and exploring new materials to sitting in high end restaurants and admiring the beautiful decor around me. My designs are contemporary and sleek with a combination of warm, natural, organic materials that balance together to create a relaxing, timeless and tranquil environment.

My favourite projects

These have always been the messiest and dirtiest ones. I adore taking a room and transforming it so it’s unrecognisable. That’s how I know I’m making the most of somebody’s home. 

My top bathroom tips

Don’t just think about what you like – combine it with what you need too. Would a walk-in shower suit you best? An enclosed shower? Or maybe a wet room? It’s all about maximising the room to its full potential in terms of both style and practicality. And do speak to a designer or an expert – they’ll help you find exactly what you’re looking for. 

My favourite Matki pieces 

I absolutely love Matki. I’ve always highly recommended their products to my design clients as I genuinely find their creations beautiful and incredibly durable. One of my favourite pieces is the EauZone Radius 20 panel, and I think the bespoke slate-effect, colour-matching shower trays are truly stunning.
