However, I would say compromised or awkward spaces are the main reasons we are asked to provide bespoke solutions.

Q: What kind of bespoke options are available through Matki? Can you give us some examples?

A: Too many to list! Full height floor-to-ceiling, reduced height, super wide to very narrow, cut outs around baths and into pitched ceilings. Totally frameless, fully framed. The beauty of going bespoke is we will create whatever the customer needs to achieve with the space they have available, in many cases exceeding what they thought possible.

The most common challenges that face the Engineers on-site are accurately detailing walls and floors that are out of plumb and level, critical details that can be the difference between a unit fitting perfectly, or not! Other challenges arise from logistics, such as transporting very large and heavy pieces of glass from our manufacturing plant in Bristol throughout the UK, with final destinations often being top-floor bathrooms. Our large Installation Team are expert in bespoke showering solutions. It’s not unusual to have a team of five Engineers assigned to an installation. Safety is paramount, and part of our on-site assessment is carried out while measuring.
