Bringing Paris chic to my London home
Flavie decided to update her bathroom in her Maida Vale home – and she knew she wanted something a little different.
Flavie is originally from France, but now lives in London. When she started her bathroom renovation with Richard at Bathroom Design Studio, she knew she needed two things from her shower screen: size and style. And with Matki, she found both.
I wanted something unique
I didn’t want a boring bathroom. I’d already picked out a beautiful tile for the wall, and I needed something that would complement it. I looked everywhere for a shower screen that would stand out – then I found Matki’s EauZone screen with gold mesh. It was perfect. I’d never seen anything like it and I knew instantly it was the one.
Stylish and practical
It can be hard to strike a balance when you choose gold, and you have to be careful it doesn’t look tacky – but my shower screen is pure elegance. Everyone who sees it asks where I got it. It certainly has the wow factor!
It’s practical too. The dimensions were perfect for the long space in my bathroom, and Matki’s installation service was seamless. The screen is amazing quality – it feels sturdy and well made.
One of the things I love about the screen – but wasn’t expecting – is that you can’t even tell when someone has used the shower. There are no visible water droplets and nothing to clean, and I don’t have to keep a squeegee in the shower. You’d be surprised what a difference that makes to your day!
My bathroom is now my happy place
Walking into the room is such a joy. I’m struck by the gold every time I’m in there, and the screen truly is the masterpiece of the bathroom. I could only have dreamed of having such a unique space – but now it’s a reality, I couldn’t be happier!
