Sarah and her family took on a huge renovation project in their Leicestershire home. With five luxury bathrooms to update, she chose Matki for a combination of sturdiness and style.
When Sarah and Derek bought their house in 2014, they knew they had a huge task on their hands to turn it into a family home.
A labour of love
We chose the house because we wanted to create somewhere with space and character for our four children to grow up and create happy memories together. It’s been hard work and we’ve done a lot of the renovations ourselves, but it’s been totally worth it.

We took a “do it once, do it well” approach to our renovations. We chose items that offered sturdiness and longevity, as well as a great aesthetic. Matki fitted perfectly into this idea, as their products really stood out with their build quality and sleek profiles.
We used Matki for four of our bathrooms and chose a variety of finishes – some living brass, some polished nickel and some black chrome. We’re so happy with all of them. I particularly love the living brass and aged brass, and the polished nickel in our family bathroom has a lovely appearance and almost a platinum feel to it.
Quality service from start to finish
We used Matki’s measuring and installation service for all the bathrooms and the service was excellent. They confirmed which designs would be best and even checked which ways the doors would swing so they wouldn’t hit anything. When it came to installation, I was able to get on with my work during the day and they just quietly went about fitting the bathrooms. The installers were polite and courteous.

Extra touches make all the difference
I’d absolutely use Matki again. They really go the extra mile and they even sent me metal samples in all the different finishes so I could see how they’d fit in with our décor. Not everybody will do that. It was incredibly helpful and meant we could make sure all our design choices were cohesive.
I also think their 10-year guarantee is fantastic, and the fact that I can call them and they’ll come out to fix any problem is so reassuring. Without a doubt, I’d recommend Matki to anyone.
